Is ThirdLove Worth the Money?
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Okay, so we've all seen the Facebook ads – they come through my feed on the regular and, last year, I finally decided to give it a shot. When I got the bras, I was in LOVE. No wonder people are raving about these bras. Friends and followers asked me to write a review, but I knew that I had to give them some time before I shared my thoughts and a couple of months later, I'm not as in love with the bras I ordered.
But before we go there, let's start from the beginning.
Bra Shopping Sucks Monkey Butt
I shop for bras once a year.
I don't know how you feel about bra shopping, but I hate it. I'm a coward because I hate getting undressed in dressing rooms (why is the lighting so damn bad???) so I end up buying a ton of bras, taking them home to try them on and return the ones that don't work.
It's a lot of work and I know it could be easier, but where's the fun in that?
Years ago, I was measured as a 36DD and every couple of years I get re-measured and I'm a 36DD. I have a couple of brands that fit well enough and stick with those when I go to replace a few bras.
I never thought anything was wrong with my bras. I saw that episode of Oprah and I thought I was doing well. Yeah, the strap slides down one shoulder every now and then. Sometimes I need to adjust the underwire. And I can feel my bar all day long.
But that's normal, right?
ThirdLove Bras
ThirdLove is a company that promises to make bra shopping easier. No dressing rooms, an accurate Fit Finder quiz, and comfortable bras. After seeing their ads on Facebook for a few months, I took the quiz and learned that I'm a 38D, not a 36DD.
After the quiz, ThirdLove takes you to a page that shows all the bras that will work best for your size and breast type. I loved that the models are all sizes and colors. And I was impressed with the collection. But not so impressed with the price. I live near an outlet mall where the most expensive bra is about $40, you spend less when you buy multiple bras.
I unsubscribed from the emails and moved on.
But now the fact that my bras didn't fit well was all I could think about. I kept going to the restroom at work to adjust the straps. I bought extenders for the back. I was trying everything to make them feel comfortable and nothing worked.
So I took the quiz again and when ThirdLove had a sale, I placed an order.

My First Thought
When I tried each bra on, I was amazed. They are soft and they fit perfectly and I loved them. I didn't even need to adjust the straps or anything. They were perfect. It wasn't like I was wearing a bra. I love them.
A Couple of Months Later
I wore my new bras for a couple of months and today, I sent the plunge bras back to ThirdLove. Yep, after I wore them and after I washed them, I returned them.
They make the return/exchange process very easy.
I have a generous rack and I was falling out of the plunge bras every time I bent over, even when I leaned over slightly to grab something from a drawer, pick something up from the ground, or when doing laundry – I was always falling out of those bras.
But the t-shirt bra – OMG I love it. I love it so much that I exchanged the plunge bras for two more of the 24/7™ Pima Cotton T-Shirt Bras.

What I Love about the 24/7™ Pima Cotton T-Shirt Bra
- The fabric is so soft, the straps stay up, and it has great support.
- I don't have that weird gap at the underwire.
- I'm not constantly adjusting my boobs nor am I falling out of the bra.
- I can sleep in the bra comfortably and my boobs stay in place.
- The bra is pretty.
- I'm not constantly aware that I'm wearing a bra and I don't rip it off the second I get home.
The only thing I don't like is that it only comes in three colors. I love variety and looking at their other bras, I'd love this one in blue, purple, and red.
Would I Recommend ThirdLove?
If you are unhappy with your bras, then check out ThirdLove. The cost is insane to me, but having worn my new bra for a few months, I feel comfortable and supported. I have NEVER had a bra this comfortable and I'm 48 years old. So, maybe this is the cost of a comfortable bra.
I treated myself and I don't regret the investment. I was tempted to try a few other bras from ThirdLove when they go on special again…
But, for now, I'll go to the outlet mall and try on a few 38D bras to see if I have better success than I have in the past.
Can't Afford ThirdLove? No Worries
If you're reading this and thinking “I can't afford to spend $50-$70 for a bra,” no worries. There is a way to find an affordable and comfortable bra without breaking the bank.
I went through my bra drawer and each day I wore a new bra so that I could have a clear understanding of what was and wasn't working for me.
I also purchased a pack of bra extender straps and this improved the comfort of several of my bras, giving them new life. Any bra that didn't work, I donated. In the past, I would toss it back in the drawer as if it'll work on another day – not anymore. The one I'm wearing as I type this is going in the donation pile.
ThirdLove made me appreciate a comfortable bra. I'm looking for…
- a smooth fit around my breasts (no gaps on the edge)
- a complete fit beneath my breast (no underboob showing)
- a comfortable fit if there is underwire; I forget that it's there
- a comfortable and secure fit on my shoulders
- no side rolls because of a too tight strap
Basically, I want to be able to comfortable sleep in my bras while also having support during the day.
